Yoga's benefits are numerous. How's your connection?

You’ll spend time listening to each other breathe, connecting to each other’s heartbeat and balancing each other’s energies. All the while, enjoying the company and letting a bit of laughter deepen your link. When attending class, be sure to maintain your sense of humor and remember to enjoy the experience. This is a time you give to yourself and your partner.

three poses to try:

Easy Pose Variation: Sit back to back. As you both breathe, see if you can tune into the other’s rhythm. Feel the breath roll up and down your backs

Warrior II: Move to a standing position. Stand facing each other. Step back with the right foot, turning the back foot out about 45 degrees. Adjust so front feet are facing each other and close to touching at the toes, knees bent. Reach forward with the left hand, link hands together.  Outstretch the right arm behind you so that your arms stretch in opposite directions. With your hands/arms linked together, spend a few breaths taking turns leaning away from each other. Gently pull your partner toward you, let yourself be gently pulled, bending and unbending the front knee as appropriate. Explore the back bending in this pose and blend the breath with movement.

Tree Pose: Stand side by side. Bring the inner legs toward each other. The outside leg lifts, as you bend the knee and place the sole of the foot against the shin or upper thigh. The inner arms wrap around the waist while the outer hands touch the palms together. Support each other in the balance.
